ITEMS (Improving Teacher Education in Mathematics and Science) is a Lifelong Learning Programme EU – project , Key Activity 4 (Dissemination). The project starts in January 2009 and ends in December 2010. Its aim is to develop a framework aimed at improving the competencies of science and mathematics teachers and, consequently, increasing the students attainment and interest in these areas.
ITEMS partnership includes public institutions from four different countries. Two teacher training institutions, CEFIRE from Spain and Second Level Support Service (SLSS) from Ireland and two High Schools, Gimnazija Poljane from Slovenia and Gymnasium Isernhagen from Germany. The project also relies on the cooperation of European Schoolnet.
